Stephen Ministry: one-on-one support

​

Stephen Ministers are laypeople trained to provide sensitive, confidential, Christ-centered care to individuals going through times of difficulty or loss, such as grief, divorce, unemployment, illness, or life transition. As commissioned caregivers, they engage in regular supervision and continuing education. Stephen Ministers commit to offering regular, in-person support to those who request it; those receiving care need not be members of First Presbyterian or any church. They welcome referrals from individuals as well as for family members and friends.
